The top is constructed using traditional joinery—hand carved through tenons and carefully fitted joints—allowing the timber itself to be the primary structural element. Each piece was hand-selected and positioned to create a geometric pattern that celebrates both woods’ natural grain and colour variation. The table sits low and solid, designed for relaxed living rather than formal dining.
Coffee Table
This coffee table combines Australian jarrah with recycled French oak salvaged from decommissioned wine barrels. The rich, deep red tones of the jarrah contrast beautifully with the lighter, weathered character of the barrel oak, which carries the subtle marks of its previous life aging wine.
Hand Cut Joinery
Intent
It’s meant to anchor a space—sturdy enough for daily use, beautiful enough to appreciate every time you set down a cup of coffee. The design philosophy draws from both Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese wabi-sabi, where imperfection and material honesty are virtues. Theknots, grain patterns, and weathering of the barrel oak aren’t hidden—they’re features. This is a table that improves with age, gathering its own stories while honouring the history already embedded in its timber.
